Hot Wheels & diecast

A Hot Wheels collection app that starts at the shelf

Line the cars up — or shoot the display shelf as it stands — and AI drafts an entry per car, each with its own cropped photo. You add the casting, the series it came from, and whether it is carded or loose, in your own words.

Twelve colourful miniature diecast cars arranged in a felt-lined collector tray.

What you get

Three things a diecast collection needs sorted

Catalogue cars by the shelf

Photograph a row, a case, or a tub at a time. AI drafts an entry per car it sees, with its own cropped photo — no typing a thousand names into a spreadsheet.

Know at the pegs what you already own

The catalogue is searchable from your phone’s browser, so “do I already have this casting?” gets answered in the store aisle, not at home in front of the shelf. Tag cars by series, colour, or variant — your words, your system.

Track condition and worth

Note carded, boxed, or loose on each car and record what you paid or what it is worth. Export the itemised list with totals as a PDF or spreadsheet when it is time to insure — or to sell.

How it works

From a shelf of cars to a searchable collection

  1. The Keeper of Things capture sheet: catalogue a space, choose from gallery, or add manually.
    Step 01

Line the cars up — or shoot the display shelf as it hangs.

  2. The Keeper of Things review screen showing items the AI detected in a photo, ready to accept.
    Step 02

AI drafts an entry per car it sees; you name the casting and confirm.

  3. The Keeper of Things inventory catalogue listing items with photos, locations, and categories.
    Step 03

Search the collection from anywhere — including the store aisle.

  4. The Keeper of Things inventory grouped by category, showing Electronics and Furniture groups.
    Step 04

Display shelf, storage tubs, cases in the garage — one collection, one list.

FAQ

Cataloguing Hot Wheels, answered

Still curious? Reach us at [email protected] .

Can I check the collection from the store?

Yes. The catalogue runs in your browser and on Android, so a quick search at the pegs settles “have I got this one?” before you buy the double.

How do I record carded versus loose?

However you like — most collectors use tags like carded, boxed, and loose, or a line in the description. The photos carry the rest: shoot a carded car front and back and both shots stay on the entry.

Will it recognise castings and series?

No. AI drafts a name and description from what it sees in the photo — it does not identify a casting or place a car in a series. Name the casting once and it is searchable forever.

Is my collection private?

Yes — tied to your account, encrypted in transit and at rest, never sold, and never used for advertising. It is shared only if you invite family members to it.
